Go to r4dsl.net click english on top and download the latest kernel (should be 3.10 I think) and try to see if your r4 boots up.

My cart is r4i Ultra, i try using this method but it cannot go pass the black screen. For r4i Ultra do i run akextract which i did or ttextract?

I have the same problem. i am also using a r4i Ultra... if you have aim msg me LilAntH2o lets figure it out.
im tryin to get YSMenu because cheats keep freezing my game when i try and load.

PLZ help.... I messed around a bit. to the point where i was able to load it up. and when i ran a game it said unsupported DLDI

i heard you could run .gbc/snes/nes w/o opening the emulator first. do you need a slot 2 to do this?

Nope. You just provide the emulator(s) and it can natively run .gbc .snes .nes etc... games but this thread isn't for explaining that. If you need more help, just PM me.

Is there a way to exit from moonshell 2 to ysmenu (perhaps using "exit to firmware" and an resetmse add-on?) without turning it off and on?

Not that I know of, sorry.

Honestly I don't use moonshell, so I don't know the first thing about it.

Another question, When i'm using moonshell on ysmenu while listening to music and decided to close the DS lid(To save battery).. the music stops.. so my question now is is there a some sort of settings that allow you to continue listening to music while the DS lid is closed?

I guess it would work if the r4 clone is based on the acekard firmware but I'm not sure at all.

As for your other question, I wouldn't know how the unofficial kernal of dstt reacts to ysmenu, so I cannot answer your question... I mean you can try, and if you do, I definitely advise you to start fresh.

Unofficial DSTT Firmware found here is WORKING with this guide.


Could not find a way to test the Acekard Firmware, unfortunately I don't think akextract works! If anyone can get the Acekard firmware working with YS Menu, let me know

hm...it got stuck on "Loading..." unless r4 isn't compatible with sdhc cards
