OK, I solved the overflow problem, so case 1 should now be fully playable.

See the first post for the download link.

Edit: Were some problems, but case 1 should now be fully playable, as well as the opening part of case 2.

Tried to do this a while ago, failed miserably. Glad to see it get done. And you say not only GS3, but also GS1/GS2? *dies* Despite GS1 not having the sweet fifth case, still really awesome.

I think he meant how do oyu apply the patch.
In which case oyu get the original game, and IPS patcher(like ipswin) and the patch which the OP provides and patch it.
It should then work fine with your psp

New patch out. It translates text only up to case 2-3 which is at the 'To be continued' part of the first trial in this case. Locations and other graphics are still in Japanese right now, and answers to questions will be blank.

Sorry for double posting, but is this project dead?
Cos it'd be really great to be able to play all of Trials and Tribulations on the PSP

It's still on. I just have been really busy this past month, but I'll be able to continue work on this project as before after this weekend

I'm almost ready to release the next patch. All the psyche-locks for case 2 should work now, the script should work mostly and I just have only two graphics left to translate. One is a news article with a picture and talking about the theft. For the other one of them I need the right font, though:

Does anyone know what font this is?

(It's needed for the L:'Stop' option for Psyche-Locks)

Here's the graphic that needs to be translated.

Good luck on this project i'm also waiting for it

Tried patch in vba but it's extra laggy for some reason + Jumping graphic's

When i get back my flash card today that I let a friend borrow ill try it on that till then i have to wait

By jumping graphics, do you mean the sprite animations? I know there are some problems with character animations since the way I put in the script did not account for animation within text. The lag would be your computer, I guess.

Anyway, there's a new patch. Case 2 is mostly finished, just need to get the full screen answers for the second and final trial, and help in checking for bugs such as freezes, loops, and overflow problems.

I played the gyakuten saiban 2 on my friends house.
I'd like the DS version but the gba version is good too.
It's nice to hear "Objection!" or "Myriai!"

and help in checking for bugs such as freezes, loops, and overflow problems.

Im sure you already know this but on The "new game" intro

I barely have enough time read the last word before it goes to the next (not much of a problem since i can actually read fast but may be a problem to others)

Used the tool that was posted but can't find the intro.cc (doubt thats real name)

And extracting yours with patch applied causes a lot of error's

The extract tool is only designed to work with the original, and I moved a lot of the script around. The reason why it moves so fast to the next screen is because the line was originally on three lines, not two. The current plan to solve the problem is to create a three-line text-box like in the DS version.

Jack-of-Trades, if you want I can give you my script for case1-1 if you want to add a wait in the intro. You would have to insert it at 0x007a0000 and also use the overflow hack.
