Hi! @Cluster
Could you make a .hmod to permanently delete the NESCE screensaver?
I would like to have that option somehow simpler... If there is a way to do it, I will be eternally grateful.
U're the boss.
Genesis controllers, at their simplest, have three buttons instead of the two that the nintendo controllers have. You either need a Wii classic controller or some other third party controller that has multiple buttons.Hello again people. I was wondering could I somehow reassign commands on nes controller for Sega Genesis games on hakchi2 or I need some kind of third party multicontroller?
NES Classic - Advanced Compression Techniques. I do an overview of two space gaining methods.
Hey guys, this is my first post on this forum. First, I just wanted to thank all of you for your contributions to this thread. I have learned so much about the NES Classic through these 480 plus pages.
I have had no problems getting TMNT, TMNT2, Simpsons, and the WWF Arcade Games to work using the MAME2003. All of these arcade games work fine. However, I have had no luck getting Jurassic Park to work. Has anyone had success getting that arcade game to work? If so, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
how do you get into the dip switches ?
Still can't get Discs Of Tron to work. It doesn't like mame2003 or mame2000. I can always play it on my computer. At least I got TRON to work....though DOT is my favourite of the two.
I wish you could change command line arguments and add games without having to flash the entire kernel.....

So for people who can't find a NES classic, is there any good alternatives to this that are as easy and convenient to hack and play games on? I hear about stuff like the raspberry pi and the retron or something. Are they as easy to use/add games and emulators as the hakchi hacked NES classic?
I've never owned a Raspberry Pi before and I think it's easy to build and install firmware on it. You can use an SD card on it to load up ROMS without syncing the console to a computer every time you want to add games. So for people who can't find a NES classic, is there any good alternatives to this that are as easy and convenient to hack and play games on? Maybe this question has being asked like a million times, but with v2.16b if when you want to upload games to the system, you only need to turn your system on without pushing the reset button...
I can't get this method to work. I turn on the system and that's all that happens. No transfers or anything.
Am I forgetting some option to turn the transfer on?

It should just go into transfer mode after clicking the "Synchronize selected games..." button. When you hit this button, does the window pop up that looks like this below? When I see this pop up, I just turn on the Mini and away she goes! Takes under two minutes for over 600 games!Maybe this question has being asked like a million times, but with v2.16b if when you want to upload games to the system, you only need to turn your system on without pushing the reset button...

I had setup to use the "Select" button as the "C" button on my NES controller for Sega games. Seemed to work ok, though a lil different. Right now, I have a Wii classic knockoff and use Y, B, A for A, B, C. Works like a dream!Hello again people. This compression method also works to put the .NES games extension with the nestopia core?
Thx.

--retroarch --core nestopia
--retroarch --nestopia

Maybe you need to redownload Hakchi. When you copy your games, dump folder over, maybe it copied over a new file... I did that once in an upgrade from 2.12 to 2.13 and it acted like the previous build. Currently I am using 2.15, but FEL mode has been demolished since 2.14 I believe.
Hope this helps!

@KMFDManic Once done the trick of double compression, retroarch doesn't detect the nestopia core arguing it in the command line.
-Uninstall retroarch hmod, reinstall it.
Or, alternatively, you can...
-Install USE NESTOPIA hmod
Me, I use --retroarch --fceumm for all. That is my personal preference.
Also, sometimes, memory conflicts can sometimes cause hmods to become broken. Keep me posted!
Por example:
/bin/nes /usr/share/games/nes/kachikachi/CLV-Z-CAYIC/CLV-H-ABZZG.7z --retroarch --core nestopia
orCode:--retroarch --core nestopia
Code:--retroarch --nestopia
For this reason I asked, by default always runs the fceumm core and I need to run some NESCE games with different cores. Because I think in nestopia they work much better.. i believe.
So, how do I fix this problem on the command line?
Thank u very much for your help.
Rgs.

It is possible to incorporate to Hakchi2 this compressor _HelpingHand v1.1 for roms of Nes, and the image compressor the pngquant
To be able to obtain the 2500 roms, in our mini Nes !!!!
