ROM Hack Question Has anyone had success in using NHSE for changing villager personalities?

I've been using NHSE for a while now and since its inception, there has been an option to change the personalities on villagers to whatever you wanted with the drop down menu. However, after some testing I have not gotten it to work. The lazy villagers continue to talk about food instead of muscles or exercising when changed to Jock and the Normal villagers are still sweet and kind even when I change them to snooty. I am not sure how to completely verify the change so I was wondering if anyone has proof of a successful change in their villagers personalities!

Pretty sure the villager personalities are hardcoded per villager, and you can't change them.

Best that would be possible is essentially making them another villager except for their name and model. I don't know if it's know yet how to do this with ACNH but at least this is the method some used for New Leaf.
