For some reason, I have switched to a new laptop about a year ago, and since Ramadan 2016 it has started giving me a problem that on average happens about every two-three months.

When it occurs, the laptop cannot connect to the Internet anymore, although the Internet icon in the taskbar still shows as connected and the problem diagnoser still tells me there are no problems with the connection. Also, parts of Windows Explorer hang or stop working, such as the Internet connection settings and sound volume in the taskbar. I cannot even shut down or soft reset, so I am forced to hard shut down every time this happens, as it is the only solution to this problem.

So far, AFAIK it has happened on June 2016, October 2016, December 2016, January 19th 2017 and February 27th 2017. This proof just goes to show how often this occurs, and I really need to know what is causing it.

@SomecallmeBerto Um, I mentioned that when my laptop loses Internet connection, "parts of Windows Explorer hang or stop working, such as the Internet connection settings and sound volume in the taskbar [...] I cannot even shut down or soft reset".

What are you typically doing when your connection drops? If you're doing something that results in a high number of concurrent connections (like downloading torrents, for example) a lot of routers will shit out because of their crappy firewall deeming the connections a SYN/ACK flood.
