Hardware Headset & Mic Not working on Child Account

I have a very simple question

I have a ps4 (9.00) I recently lost my only usb and I only have an external hdd so the question is can I run the exploit via the hdd and will it function the same as an usb?

My headset & Mic is not working on my child account on PS4. Is this something in the settings I missed? What can I do so that this feature works?
