Hori to release 'Daemon X Machina' grip controller

Daemon X Machina, a Nintendo Switch-exclusive title pitting players against AI robots gone haywire, is set for a release this September 13th. To accompany its release, peripheral manufacturer Hori has announced its Daemon X Machina-themed grip controllers for Japan.

Other than looking like larger and fancier joycons, the Hori Daemon X Machina grip controllers are pretty much bare bones. They can only be used in handheld mode as they don't pack a built-in battery for wireless support nor do they feature a gyro sensor, infrared camera, HD vibration or NFC.

To make up for those missing features, the company added a Turbo button on each controller that allows you to fire 5, 10 or 20 times per second. Also present on each controller is a programmable button at the back which can be mapped to your desired button.

Hori's Daemon X Machina grip controllers are priced at ¥ 5,162 (about $48) and are scheduled to launch this September. There is no information whether this peripheral will be made available outside of Japan. However, would you like to get your hands on one?

I played the demo of this docked and painfully felt the limitation of the Switch's hardware with framerate drops. Just made me miss Armored Core on current gen consoles like PS4 or Xbox One.

Wish FromSoftware would stop with the fucking "souls like" genre. (Elden Ring)
