I see no chance of it being a usb dongle. The switch cant play any media or files with a usb.

You will most likely connect the solderless version on the mobo.

I had little to no skills of soldering a year ago, and this past year I practiced and bought decent equipment and tools.
I can do surface mount chips, wires and more now just with practice.

It doesnt hurt to practice. Just practice on mobo's that you dont care about and youll get there.
