I'm just curious.

I use on average (downloads) 1.5tb a month. People think this is a lot. Its 5 people (3 kids, 2 adults). So usually there's something streaming or downloading.
What's connected:
Xbox one (updates every 2 days)
PS4
Switch
2x 3ds
Gaming PC

So I'm wondering how much you use.

:)

Also, dont forget, that traffic is free. Capacity isn't. That in some instances you are paying for traffic is only a business model. :)

Well, when I was with Comcast, I had a 1TB cap and hovered dangerous close to it each month. My first month with AT&T has just passed, and I’m at 1.4TB.

I honestly have no clue.
Internal network sees Terabytes of data a month, actual down/uploading varies a month, few hundred gigs average I guess?

i have no idea.

unlimited internet. the day i get limited internet is the day they should lock me up. internet is like a disease and no cure for it.

its like im waiting for the Apocalypse that's why i download so much. but the problem with that theory is if the Apocalypse happens we will not have electricity most likely.

Varies a bit from month to month, but my mobile data services (both unlimited data) use between 8 and 20GB. Generally it’s higher when we’re away for several days because there’s a lot of streaming from my home server and Remote Desktop usage.

Home internet, blimey I doubt I could count it properly :D I’ve got a 350Mbps unlimited and no traffic management connection. But as no-one else (or very few) people where I live seem to have that, my actual speed on a large download varies between 350Mbps and 500Mbps.

So I tend not to think twice about downloading something, whether I keep it or not. I also run a media server of, well I’m not sure. My server is currently at 52TB, but that also includes my music backups, books, comics and several TB of game backups (including fan made hacks and Homebrew games) from the Atari 2600 onwards.

Aside from us, 5 other friends and family use that a lot. I’ve been ripping all of my purchases since back in the VHS days, so I’ve a somewhat large collection. Which also means there’s a lot of bandwidth used on that, albeit that’s uploads.

Anyway, on average my home connection downstream use varies between 2 and 4 TB a month. Though I have been known to do more than that. Hell, downloading a ton of demos alone eats up a lot of data.
Before anyone says it, no, I don’t do torrents. I stay away from that sort of thing. I’ve made my standpoint on piracy known before. I don’t but I won’t tell people not to, it’s none of my business.

Well, I’m all in favour of the “grey” area of backing up your own collection. Hell, some of my Commodore/Amstrad/Spectrum/MSX tapes and disks have long since stopped working. If it weren’t for the backups and the amazing work done by the hardware chappies, I’d not be able to play them anymore. Plus some games are just too damn valuable to actually use.

Man I waffle on something rotten when my morphine kicks in :D

On my phone, I rarely reach my 5 GB limit.

The house's internet? I have no idea. I have unlimited data so I don't care, and also have no good way to check it. But I doubt it's a lot. There's a lot of YouTube, that's for sure. But not much else is streaming, and I rarely download stuff. So maybe 100 GB a month or so? :P
