I plan on writing some more homebrew and setting up a Patreon though. It would be nice to get some money.

I've made a couple hundred dollars here and there working for a few different sites. I've never really kept up with those kinds of jobs because they are a bit too difficult to report on my taxes.

Well...

Back when Pokemon X and Y were really new, and the 3DS hadn't really been hacked yet...You had to get shiny Pokemon the legit way, with all the methods and time and such. I invested a lot of time and effort into playing, obtaining a lot of rarer Pokemon that were 5IV and shiny. So someone offered me money for one of them. I was shocked, but being a kid who wanted cash, I absolutely accepted. That got the gears in my head turning. I quickly set up an eBay shop, selling my Pokemon at starting bids for maybe...3 dollars max?

(As a side note, there's a little marker on Pokemon in X/Y, which shows if they're from that generation or not. Pokemon imported from older games were frowned upon as "hacked". People wanted legit. Mine had that marker)

So then, I go to sleep, and wake up to find an auction for my little shiny Eevee Pokemon going for like, 60+ dollars in a bidding war against 6 people. All I saw were dollar signs. This was a cash cow. So I began thinking on how to get another shiny Eevee without spending hours and hours again. Enter...the Powersave 3DS. I could back up the Pokemon to Pokemon Bank, and then revert the save, effectively doubling my Pokemon.

I listed every single shiny I had, starting at 2.99, and a lot of them went for insane prices. It was amazing. The gravy train lasted about 2 months until eBay banned me (as selling non physical items is against ToS)

In the end, I made almost $2,000 dollars. It was amazing.

Heck, after I had a PowerSaves, and after I got homebrew on my 2DS, people still bought Pokémon. I mean... I remember selling one of those Diancies from some event for 15€ by itself.

I made like $110 on get paid to sites back in the day, not bad.
Currently dabbling with crypto trading but since the huge crash after new years I've just about been able to recover, so I haven't actually made anything yet.
It was going pretty well until the crash though.

I've made around 57€ from my old youtube/twitch, selling my game ideas/concepts/assets/music/etc., some small time online jobs (eg: translating stuff) and so on. Would have made a LOT more if it wasn't such a pain to count everything and report them for taxes, along with everything else... Now that I'm on my own though, trying to pick up from where I left off and hopefully things haven't changed much.
