Hi.

i am on 5.5.1 cbhc and use the custom dns to block updates

so at first i dumped and played the uk pal version of call of duty black ops 2 on my wii u and downloaded the latest update using wii u usb helper and was able to play online and stuff.

now i deleted the game and dumped & installed the german version of call of duty black ops 2 on my wiiu. on startup the wii u wants to download the update but it cant establish a connection to the update download server due to the custom dns to block automatic system updates.

it seems the update files on wii u usb helper are only for the uk version and incompatible with the german game. i tried to find the update on the eshop using nnupatcher but i couldnt find the game in the eshop at all. i set the dns to automatic and then the game demanded to first o a system update before doing the game update.

so does anybody know a way to get the latest patch for cod bo 2 german version on my cbhc console without wiiu usb helper since it doesn't have it?

thanks a lot

If you spoof from 5.5.1 to 5.5.2 then you can install updates, here's the tutorial

thanks a lot. this looks like it will take some time for me understand. fuck i'm getting old.

is it possible to later back this up to a sdcard and then on my pc? i want to preserve it in case the wii u servers get shut down.

What about utik I think that has the update

I have decided to discontinue work on this and delete the project from GitHub, please respect this decision.

unfortunately i don't have that option anymore since the software was removed.

so i deleted the update folder with ftpiiu eveywhere and did all the steps twice
  • Copy the contents from your regions folder to the root of your SD card.
  • Boot into the homebrew launcher from loadiine.ovh and run wupinstaller.
  • Install, you're done.
and black ops 2 still wants me to install the system update first before doing the software update.

how can i verify that my firmware is spoofed? apparently it didnt work for me

is this compatible with coldboot haxchi 5.5.1 ?

i tried this multiple times with a lot of different versions of homebrew launcher and wupinstaller, through the browser exploit and nand installed hbl and it says it was installed successfully but it seems to do nothing. wup installer gx2 says this is no

my game black ops 2 still wants to do a system update before downloading the game update.

in this youtube video at 6:33 mins the guide says to verify the spoof go to system settings and it should show 5.5.2 as fw version. on cbhc it still shows 99.99.99

so i suppose this is only for ofw, right?

Saw a video like "Playing Ouya in 202x" a while ago, it was too much work for too little console.

Because co-pilot doesnt even show up on my pc. Not in the taskbar, not in the start menu search, and the option in settings to turn it on and off in the taskbar is not even displayed.

Well, I complain about Microsoft all the time. You seem to enjoy it, no offense. If you like using Windows, that's fine by me.

Tired of the entire "BUT BUT BUT WINDOWZ SPYWARE!!!" thing too, when the same people give out tons of their personal info to plenty of other companies but say nothing about it.

@RedColoredStars, Companies do the exact same thing with other companies as well, so it's not just Microsoft. There are 3rd-parties like 'data brokers'.

I'm 52 years old and one of my jobs in life was marketing research. Im well aware. I've been online for around 30 years. Everyone and their grandmother already has my personal information. One more having my email address isn't ruining my life or even effecting me in any way whatsoever.

$300 back last year from Rakuten for allowing them to track my purchase. I'll take the money for them to know I bought a bunch of stuff for my cat and some video games. lol

And for people to say things like "But I use all fake info". No, they don't. lol. They use fake info for all of their banking and online shopping? Fake shipping address, fake payment info? lol
