My iPod touch (2nd Gen, 4.2.1) Is jailbroken and disabled. My native computer is down due to a registry virus and i cannot connect it to another computer as it is disabled by incorrect pass codes. How can i put it in to DFU or wipe it completely? and the holding down sleep and home buttons during startup doesn't work.

Try this:
1. Hold down sleep and home to restart the device
2. When the apple logo appears, stop holding sleep and only hold home
3. An iTunes logo should appear as well as a charging cable thing to indicate that you have to plug into a computer.
4. Navigate in iTunes until you find an option to wipe/restore the device.
5. Do it and either restore from a backup (which you probably have) or wipe it new, which isn't too bad imo.
I haven't done this for a long time so I'm not sure if this is 100% accurate and I haven't done it on a 2nd gen iPod either, this may be completely wrong.
