The update has to be dumped and fake signed the same way as the game.

So, the update must first be installed and dumped together with the game. A subsequent update of an already dumped game is therefore not possible?

Correct, has to be installed to be dumped. The dumper allows 4 options to be dumped: the un-updated game only, the updated game, the un-updated game + update in separate folders, or just the update alone.

If someone dumps the update and shares it, you can use it providing the CUSA number matches your version of the game.
