Homebrew How to use the Homebrew Channel as a simple loader for games (skip the emulator menu)

I tried making a wad with the boot.dol file and it loads into Nintendont, gets to the part where it says "Loading IOS58 Kernel", then the screen flashes green and my console resets. What can I do to fix this?

form what device are you loading the GCN game with Nintendont from a channel?

Are you using latest @libertyernie's Nintendont custom build?

Did you enable AHBPROT and disable IOS reload in the meta.xml? (Add <no_ios_reload/> and <ahb_access/> between <app> and </app> )

im guessing he doesnt have a meta.xml too, or maybe his wii has an old ios58(older version cios58) if that is the case nintendont wont run until its official ios 58 in that slot, but most likely just missing meta.xml stuff.

Nintendont loads normally when it's not from the forwarder, idk if that changes anything and I'm gonna try reinstalling ios 58 and see if that works.

Seeing that Nintendont loads normally from HBC, then i think the forwarder channel WAD you're using doesn't support AHBPROT even if enabled on meta.xml...

and replaced the boot.dol file with customize mii, am I doing this incorrectly?
Edit: I also changed the NAND Loader to comex

These WADs are also using DIOS MIOS for be able to run them, which is nowadays obsolete because Nintendont is superior to DIOS MIOS on compatibility and features.

What i suggest is taking the 00000000.app (banner file) of the extracted base GCN WAD and reinsert it into a WAD which is compatible with AHBPROT, however it's dangerous to do for the average user (high risk of brick if you mess up with it), so better i will let @XFlak explain this more.

Just make sure u have brick protection in place, then take a working base wad with ahbprot, and replace the dol, gfx, music, etc using customize mii

Alr, so now I took the wad and replaced the boot.dol, and now Nintendont loads, but it doesn't load into the game, it just loads into the game loader.
