A great deal if you don't already own any of the big ticket games part of the bundle, otherwise 30 dollars looks a little pricey compared the the itch.io bundle that had over 1000 games for 5 bucks (even if only 10 or so are actually worth playing).
So from now on no furure bundle will be worth it anymore and every one of them will be overpriced forever because there was a 1000 game bundle for $5 at some point...

That makes total sense ;)

To clarify my original comment, I said that 30 dollars is pricey for a bundle where you already own the popular games from. 30 Dollars to get Baba, Hyper Light Drifter, Jackbox, Spelunkey, KSP, FTL, BioShock, Super Time Force, and Broken Age is a fantastic deal (and those are just the games I'm personally interested in). However, there is a good chance that one would already own some or most of those games; myself would be one of them. So in my case paying 30 dollars for mostly dupes would be a worse deal than buying the itch bundle, even if I'm getting dupes in the itch bundle as well. If I don't own even a handful of games I listed above, you bet I'd be buying the bundle!

Sure. Two of the three major organizations are bail funds, I do not believe western criminal justice systems are compromised to a degree to which I should have to discard my negative interest in bailing out criminals, regardless of their race. The third produces written material which I do not believe would be helpful to any individual in a tangible sense.
It's less about race and more about what constitutes for "crimes". Regardless of race, there's a lot to say on the issue of overstuffed prisons, skewed courts and unreasonable punishments, which are the kinds of problems that gave birth to bail funds in the first place - especially in recent several weeks, where quite a few people ended up behind bars for basically being in wrong place at the wrong time.
As for the latter, I'd like to comment, but the whole sentiment gives me creepy Fahrenheit 451 vibes, so I'll just avoid the topic.

Then you're blind to the truth either by choice or due to absorbing too much propaganda. Far too many people are still in jail for possession of a plant, not to mention we're having this discussion on a site full of "criminals" by the strictest definition. Police pick and choose which laws to enforce, and who to enforce them against all the time. That's what makes the US justice system a joke.
We will forever be at an impasse because your truth is a paranoid fantasy to me. I don't care if it's a plant or any other kind of contraband, breaking the law is a risk each individual knowingly takes and must accept responsibility for if caught. If you aren't willing to accept those consequences, live a lawful life, it's not difficult. Unless you're advocating for total law enforcement it's normal for crimes to go unseen as long as we have a right to privacy, but if X video game developer obtains the means of finding out what you've done, expect to be litigated.

It's not "my truth," it's just reality, and you live in a bubble isolated from it. That is the very definition of a privilege that poor people and people of color do not have.

Unless you're a white collar criminal, police officer, or part of the justice system in some other way. Then you get, at most, a slap on the wrist or a written reprimand instead of any jail time.

If you aren't willing to accept those consequences, live a lawful life, it's not difficult.
Only children believe that legality = morality. Wake the fuck up Samurai, there are tons of unjust laws which benefit you but oppress the freedoms of others. The US runs on free labor, and even slavery is still legal as long as you're in prison.

Everything you just wrote is total nonsense. Our positions are obviously unreconcilable, so unless you want to argue in circles about perceptions of reality it's best to leave it at that.

The entire police force in Buffalo resigned in protest after just two officers faced consequences for giving a 75-year-old white man brain damage. You cannot any longer argue in good faith that consequences are the same for everybody in this nation, or that entitlement doesn't exist. But I suppose you were never arguing in good faith to begin with.

If you were ignorant to the fact that slavery is still legal in the US, I suggest you read up on the 13th amendment, and then you'll no longer have that excuse.

A good faith argument requires you to be accurate. I've been following it closely, and I know they resigned because their legal protections were withdrawn as a result of this incident, making their job untenable. You will not sway me by pointing out that corruption exists, crimes must be punished regardless.

You must be aware that this proves my point for me, right? In what other profession do you have carte blanche to assault and murder US citizens with total immunity from any legal consequences? And what benefit exactly does an organization which can no longer function without that immunity provide?

As long as the laws are written with the idea that all men are created equal in mind, and as long as the law is applied evenly across rich and poor, black and white, I have no issue with this statement. The only problem is that none of this is currently true for the US justice system. We need a total overhaul to get rid of all the leftover garbage from the 1800s and the Jim Crow era, not to mention the race-based laws enacted by criminal presidents such as Nixon and Reagan. The US makes up only 4.4% of the world's population, yet houses almost a quarter of the world's prison population, which is entirely unsustainable.

A police officer is not given carte blanche to assault and murder, that is a fundamental misunderstanding of the protections afforded to police. Protection is provided for accidental or necessitated injury or death caused in the execution of one's duty, all of which must be proven to receive those benefits, it does not afford them protections against their own negligent or criminal behaviour.

The latter is something we can agree on at least, I am in full support of reform as there is plenty of room for improvement.

The murder of George Floyd may prove to be a turning point, we'll have to wait and see, but up until then even clear video evidence of purposeful assault/murder by police very rarely resulted in any charges whatsoever. When there isn't any video evidence, say because the police turn off their body cams, things get even worse because they can always claim any criminal behavior to be "accidental." Or my other favorite excuse, "I feared for my life because the guy gave me a dirty look."

Each must be taken on a case by case basis, but I would not agree that the majority of police negligence goes unpunished or that the majority of deaths caused in the line of duty are unjustified. It is too easy to be swayed by a handful of high profile cases of misconduct when there is a broader and deeper body of evidence that goes unseen.

This is one of those pesky facts that doesn't go away regardless of whether you agree with it or not. Over a thousand unarmed citizens were killed by police in 2019. Unfortunately because the police union and other organizations are good at keeping the data secret, we don't have the statistics for that year on how many were charged and convicted. However we do know that zero were convicted in 2015, so we can safely assume the best-case scenario is that that number barely made it into double-digits for 2019.

The evidence goes unseen because it's even more damning than what we have seen. If you're willing to commit criminal acts while being recorded, you're sure as shit not going to be shy about committing those same acts with no chance of them being seen by the public.

I wish video games could remain the one refuge against social justice warriors, politics and race-baiting snowflakes.
Yeah bro, I heard they even changed Cloud and company into eco-terrorists in the FF7 Remake. I really wish other games would take a hint from stuff like CoD and stick to apolitical wars between nations.

Another area where we are certain to disagree; It is important to draw the distinction between unarmed and passive, an unarmed citizen still has the potential to kill and injure and this should not be taken as an indicator of guilt on the part of an officer. It is, depending on the circumstances, entirely justifiable.

Whether you believe it is damning or not is immaterial, it is unseen and I try my best to avoid mind reading and projection.

You knew I was referring to the woke/scold/cancel culture of leftist cultists and race-baiters.

Yawn. This is just another iteration of the COVID-19 commercials we've been seeing for months.

"You may not be thinking about Burger King, but Burger King is thinking about you."

This is a "woke" cash grab. Capitalizing on public sentiment, nothing more.

Let video games be the ONE aspect of life that isn't affected by racists pushing an agenda. Please. Please. Let us have ONE escape.

Nonsense. Cops have multiple non-lethal weapons at their disposal, and they almost always reach for the lethal option first, even when it comes to suspects already in handcuffs or otherwise restrained. Video evidence of this has only become more and more prevalent as cell phones have become commonplace. HBO's Watchmen may have provided one of the very few effective solutions to this problem: a remote lock on police firearms that can only be disabled by calling in shots fired or an equally dangerous scenario.

This is a "woke" cash grab. Capitalizing on public sentiment, nothing more.
Are you referring to this bundle in particular? Because it can hardly be considered a cash grab with the option to distribute your entire payment to various charities. I will agree with the sentiment in general, however. Corporations believe that running commercials is a sufficient substitute for taking any real action or enacting any real change.

Let video games be the ONE aspect of life that isn't affected by racists pushing an agenda. Please. Please. Let us have ONE escape.
I assume when you say "racists," you're referring to equal rights activists, and therein lies the problem. I have no issue with you or anyone else treating video games as an escape. They're my escape too. I'm just trying to get you to think about things in a slightly different way and understand that you might very well be taking refuge in a right-wing power fantasy without even realizing it. The opposite might also be true, that you're missing leftist commentary even when a game tries to hammer you over the head with it. Developers are human too, and so they can't help but put a piece of themselves into their work.
