Hello
So, I'm about to change of computer soon, so I decided to download windows 10 on my ext.hdd before changing
I used Microsoft Windows 10 Tool, and downloaded the ISO
But I didn't read anywhere that it was gonna formate my drive
I though it was only going to download it
For the data that were on it, I'm okay, I can redownload them, that's no problem
The HUGE problem is that now, my ext.hdd, that had 6TB in it, now has only 32GB

I tryed formatingn it again in NTFS with windows format default tool, didnt work
So here's my question, is there any way to retrieve my hdd size? To get it back to about 6TB
Are there any tool for that?
Thanks in advance :(
Seriously, I panic right now :(

Open the command line and write this:
diskpart

Diskpart opens in another command line, then type:
List disk

A list of disks should appear, your external hdd, should be the number 1 (0 should be your internal one):
Select disk 1

You select your external disk, then type
Clean

To completely erase your disk

then type, not sure the order
create partition logical
create partition extended

then type
format fs=ntfs /q

You can use disk management on a windows computer to remove all other partitions and create a new NTFS one.
omg thanks a lot
I see it now
my TBs
But... they are separated in two???

I guess it's because one is in FAT32 (max 2TB) and the other in NTFS

So, how do i fuse them?

Thanks again for the BIG relieve :)

Try right clicking on the drive to the left of that and if it says ‘convert to GPT’.

Try to use diskpart then to ‘clean’ the drive and then initialise as GPT. May be able to do something similar with partition wizard if you prefer a gui.
by partition wizard you mean the Disk Manager?
If not, where can I find it?
