Hardware Idea for what to do with this UMD slot

Well, if you guys have PSP 1000-3000 model and in any chance doesn't use the UMD (because you all use memory stick exclusively), do you want to do something on this unused UMD slot?

I would rip it if I could but this space would be perfect for something else.

I have extra memory stick but it would be unwise putting it right on the case because it would be damaged. Maybe the slot could be used for memory cart holder?

And I saw someone use the space for extra battery. We could use for a tutorial.

Any idea?

    Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
