Hacking In big need of help!

Here's how to use freakyhax: grab the proper files from here: https://github.com/plutooo/freakyhax/releases/tag/v0 and place them on the root of your sd card (make sure you have the contents of starter from starter.zip too btw) get your otherapppayload from here: http://smealum.github.io/3ds/ rename it to otherapp.bin and place it on the root of your sd card, then go to this when you boot up the game Play > Use AR Card & QR Code Tools > Load a QRcode and click the random blue thing that has a pink backround.

@TheMaxynator If this does not work for you, then I think you have a frankenfirmware (beyond the mismatched CUP and NUP versions). Likely a 9.6+ native_firm.

Thank you for this, I tried it and it didn't work. Now I know for certain that my 3ds is running on another firmware than it actually shows. At least partly. I am currently talking with yellows8 in the 3dsdev IRC about this. He showed me this page (https://www.3dbrew.org/wiki/9.6.0-24#Change-log) and I actually have the option to make a load/save a home menu screen layout, even though that was only added in (indeed 9.6+) version 9.6+. This is getting interesting lol

If i had to guess, I would say you may even be on as high as 10.7.0-32E and just have old CVer and NVer titles. Maybe try creating an otherapp.bin payload with 10.7.0-32E and see what happens?

I am currently in the process of trying every firmware payload for OOT3dhax (so 9.6.0-10E, 9.7.0-10E, 9.8.0-10E, etc)

I got oot3dhax working using the 10.7.0-10E payload! I got into homebrew launcher. Going to try with freakyforms now as well.

EDIT: Freakyhax worked with the 10.7.0-10E otherapp.bin. I guess I have a disguised 10.7.0 3ds thinking it's 9.5.0. Thanks for the help guys!!
