Gaming Is it possible to play Wireless Multiplayer over the internet?

Hello, I've been looking around to see if there is any third party hardware or software that emulates local wireless multiplayer for the Nintendo DS and its games over the internet. There was one blog about it 9 years ago but that seems to be discontinued before it was even completed.

Too bad he quit development- seemed promising.
Its a very interesting concept and I am interested to see if anyone else knows about this.

Um, what?

Anyway, the reasoning was I wanted to play Dragon Quest IX online, since the only multiplayer features it has is local multiplayer despite being an awesome, practically MMO style game, in multiple regards.
