I know you can rip regular PS2 discs in a regular DVD drive, but what about the colored ones? Will those wreck my drive? Or will they just not be read? And what's different about them? Do they hold more/less data?

Solution
its all cosmetic for the most part
PS1 CD's are black
PS2 CD's are purple
PS2 DVD's are silver
PS2 DVD-DL's have an orange tint

it wont mess up you optical drive, they are just normal disc's, hold the same amount of data as regular discs, and can be read fine

@DeathStrudel
thats not what I meant
I mean they hold the same amount of data as their regular storage media counter parts
ex. PS2 DVD holds the exact same as a blank DVD you buy at the store

I added the PS2 CD part to my answer, I forgot about it
