You'd need to downgrade to 3.55 to install a CFW using a flasher, like the E3 Flasher.

E3 flasher ??

you'll need the progskeet or teensy++ if u have a NAND which is most phat models. only the later ones use a NOR chip. both of those require soldering.

U need to remove motherboard off your console, install clip to Nor chip, assemble console back with flesher, read dump 3 or more times, compare them and validate to no mistakes, patch dump and load it to ps3. Then instal cfw and multiman(webman etc.)

Simply No unless you go the ODE (optical drive emulator) route.
True:)

I think u need an esata station as well for the hdd. the ps3 won't boot up completely without an hdd, and the e3 switches take their place in the hdd bay.

I don't using it. Simply removing E3 and installing back hdd when downloading cwf and multiman

Any site promising a jailbreak for any firmware above 3.55 is false and simply trying to get you to complete surveys or give you viruses.

Unless you see a reputable site like GBATemp or Wololo.net announce a legitimate exploit, don't bother believing any site that promises >3.55 hacks.
