Hacking Is the Fan on in MPlayer?

I tried searching this on google, but I couldn't come up with a straight answer, so I came to ask here.
Is the fan on when playing a DVD video in Mplayer?

I don't know if homebrew can even control that. I think the motherboard might automatically turn it on when it needs to be turned on.

Wii on = Fan on
Wii stand-by = Fan off
Wii off = Fan off
