Timebomb cart, not recommended. Is the R4 (please see attached image) good for a new 2DS or are there better ones?
Thanks for the quick response.Timebomb cart, not recommended.
Buy this instead: https://www.nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=575
The first 30 products or so (well, the ones that are flashcards) are actually the same as the picture in your first post, just with a different stickerThanks for the quick response.
What about this one? https://articulo.mercadolibre.com.m...edia-r4-gold-pro-original-2018-_JM?quantity=1
Or any from this list of options: https://listado.mercadolibre.com.mx/r4#D[A:r4 ]
Unfortunately, it would take me a long time to get the one you recommended
And screw up all time-based games?Couldn't I just set the DS clock backwards if the card ever happens to stop working?
YSMenu is a far inferior kernel compared to Wood R4 though. The first 30 products or so (well, the ones that are flashcards) are actually the same as the picture in your first post, just with a different sticker
If you can find a way to run YSMenu as "primary kernel", you will be able to avoid the timebomb (which only applies to using it to run DS games)
For ntrboot use, just check a ntrboot guide for compatibility
You could, but it would screw up time based events as mentioned, and more importantly it would screw up online. SSL certificates have a start and end date, if the console set date is outside of this range it breaks online communication in games. Plus, if you care about using the built in web browser you'd get the same issue there.Couldn't I just set the DS clock backwards if the card ever happens to stop working?

Those are TTDS clones, aren't they?YSMenu is a far inferior kernel compared to Wood R4 though.
I'm not even sure, somewhere along the line with the hundreds of R4 clones coming out I could no longer pay attention to what's what. I used to see a lot of them advertising Wood R4 (albeit not the latest version because YWG added some anti-piracy when he started providing releases for r4ids.cn and r4idsn IIRC) but these days I don't see that much anymore. Those are TTDS clones, aren't they?
