I've been interested in learning about how video game software and hardware works on a deeper lever for the past few years, and I've noticed this forum always has really useful stuff on it. I'd love to get in contact and chat with other people who find this topic interesting!
I got into ROM hacking relatively recently, and am working on an aesthetic hack of Pokemon Emerald to start off easy.
My ambition would be to contribute to a decomp effort one day. But that may be far off in the future)) I think the work that's been done on Super Mario 64 and pokeemerald have been very inspiring.
