Hacking Kernel v4.0b from r4isdhc.com

I own a 2018 version of the flashcards from r4isdhc.com and I am supposed to use v3.9b of the kernel but I would like to know if I can use v4.0b to avoid the timebomb even tho v4.0b is for 2019 cards.

They didn't remove the timebomb from the kernel, it was just moved sometime in 2024

I know, but I prefer having a timebomb for 2024 rather than a timebomb for 2019. Do you know if the 2018 cards are able to use v4.0b?

Every single cart made by that team are literally the same hardware and have been since 2014

It's not the cart that has the timebomb though, it's their kernel. The only way to remove the timebomb is to use Retro's ysmenu
