Wagons East.

Watched it since it was John Candy's final movie and it was a terrible disjointed mess of a movie and depressing seeing how this was his last movie (he died of an excruciating heart attack).

Lately I'm watching what the local tv broadcaster serve every monday evening - chinese video B movies
Counterattack (Fan Ji)
rambo style movie, cool action, funny flying fighting scenes and some fireworks.
Previously in last two weeks was:
Cloudy Mountain (Feng Bao)
Railway Heroes (Tie Dao Ying Xiong)
Not sure if I recommend it, it's interesting but maybe a waste of time.
However every movie in general has some clear moral message, that's like a good fairy tale for good night and that's fine.
I was surprised how much protagonist is changing or rise up. Yeah that's kinda surprising, to become a hero in other aspects.

White Noise (2022)

It's a poormans/wannabe Wes Anderson and Coen Brothers movie, the "best" part is seen on the trailer and you'll figure out why:

Haven't heard the news?

Scooby-Doo (2002). Inspired to (re)watch it by a recent meme reminding me that it had Linda Cardellini as Velma, I also like Matthew whatsisname.
It was silly and cheesy and very aged, fun tho.

L.A. Takedown. 1989
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097700/

A repurposed TV pilot that could not be more 80s if it tried, a fairly unremarkable film but for it going on to be the template for Heat in 1995 ( https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113277/ ) from the same writer-director. If you like Heat (and I don't think we can be friends if you don't, it is unquestionably one of the best gun action films ever made) and are interested in films enough for a comparative analysis then well worth a watch, is available for free on youtube even.

Curse of the Puppet Master, which was just dreadful.

About halfway through I realized it's a David DeCoteau film, which if any of you watch RedLetterMedia you'll recognize that name. He does not make good movies, but he sure loves filming half-naked men.

I decided at some point to watch the entire Puppet Master series, even the worst ones, and from what I've heard Curse is the start of the end of any decent quality, unfortunately. Puppet Master 3 was fantastic, easily the best in the series. It sucks that the rest of the movies don't even come close to that one.

Really interesting, I didn’t really know the history of this band, nor their music (apart from their hits of course), generally having tastes rather underground than anything else, I confess to have been seduced by their melodies.

Amazon's latest output from Guy Ritchie.
I had not watched The Gentlemen before about 5 months ago and this falls into that side of things, though nowhere near as fun as that (definitely do that in preference).

Superspy, con film, double crossing... I am there for such things and from him it should be good but it almost felt like they were telling me rather than showing me which is odd given it was not a failing of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (which had its own problems but not that).
Had some amusing moments and lovely scenes, and occasionally some interesting dialogue like he does, but not going to be watching this again like I might either a bunch of Mr Statham's (will again point people at Safe) other films or ones Mr Ritchie has directed.
His previous Amazon thing (his remake of Cash Truck called Wrath of Man) had the same problem and it is also something they seem to do to other things so I wonder if it is an Amazon problem.

The Super Mario Bros Movie '23. It was alright.
Had references to many different Super Mario games and of course features the main actor of Mario, "Charles Martinet".
I heard peoples complaining that it wasnt Martinet who dubbed mario and luigi in the original version
But, come on... Martinet isn't a real actor, all he does is "wahoo" and "owowowow" and "its a me mario"
He isnt an actual actor who can put emotions in his voice and make you fell it
