Legend of Zelda 3D Fan Film
An epic Zelda 3D Fan Film
Youtube user RwanLink has posted up the first of many 3D animated fan fiction films. This new web series is entitled, “The Legend of Zelda: Past and Present” and seems to follow the storyline of both Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess.

All the environments are extremely well done! As are the models, The animation could be better but its certainly better then what I can do in 3DSMax (I wish I could animate that good) I think the biggest issue for me is that the scenes kinda just start and end, and sometimes the music just seems off.

Overall I'm very impressed, its looks awesome and has a potential for a good story, too bad there is no Voice Acting.

Some errors here and there, but quite nicely put together.

It shows its amateurish aspects. Environments and animation quality remind me of late PS1 era FMV sequences. All cleaned up and nice looking but still awkward and unreal. All except the character models which look like they're ripped from SSB:B (not a criticism, just a statement). Young Link looks to be homemade with cleaner lines and simpler textures. Text has some oddities which make me think English is not the guy's first language (though he may just be a bad speller)

Overall: Interesting but not enough to hold my attention for a whole series. I wasn't sure what was going on until the end and even then the plot seems along the lines of your standard fanfic. Still pretty impressive for an amateur project.

Yes, I am a very critical person. SHUN ME NOW!

No, I said it was impressive for an amateur project and made some critical remarks about it.
No, I couldn't make a video like this but last I checked most game critics don't know how to code a game. Does that make their opinion invalid?
