Yes. I apologize for the delay, one of the main testers has been busy with real life stuff and the dev team is added in some more features that havent gotten to be tested yet.Is version 8 still in development ?
Hope @lbcap can give us a update about it.
Would you mind elaborating on what's optimized between v7 and the upcoming v8 port? In other words, is it a Big Deal? I've been holding off on a v7 SM64 replay. It's clear this fanmade version is going to be superior to the upcoming retail release.
The switch version has surpassed the pc version. Make sure youre using the numbered switch port (current version is v7).Is the switch version up to date with the pc version?
The only one I seen was a early switch port minus a bunch of pcs features
Yes but the homebrew app standalone version is very out of date compared to the nsp. It doesnt have 60fps, fixed camera, widescreen, custom textures/models etc.Gotta ask. Does the Switch version exist as a homebrew app? Don't feel like installing anything.
I dont want to give a date as i dont want to promise things that might not be delivered and its not my place to speak for the dev team anyway, but it will hopefully be soonGood! When do you aspect to finish V8? If you want I can help testing it.
the vX versions are improved builds of the decompiled code ported to switch by team Salta.Out of curiosity: When you talk about V7, V8 and so on, is it a compiled version of the fgsfds port or there is another port for Switch?
You can report them on the jits discord, the dev team watches the mario 64 discussion channel there for bugs or suggestionsI'm currently playing the port and I have to say: It's really well done!
Have played the first 4 worlds so far an seen very little bugs in Verion7 so far:
- Bob-omb Battlefield: one of the canons (the ones shooting bubles) on the mountain is not visible
- Jolly Roger Bay: After the ship is lifted back to the surface a star is revealed on the gound of the sea. It's not accessible due to the bubbles which push you away. (It's only accessible after you get the green cap). The animations/objects of the bubbles seem to be missing in version 7 though. It seems like you are beeing pushed away by an invisible wall when you try to reach the star.
Are these things which are going to be fixed in future versions?
