Gaming Mario Galaxy 2 question

For the people that have already played the game, are there any features in the game that can be unlocked by having a certain save file? For example, in Mario Kart Wii, you can unlock Rosalina easily if you have a Mario Galaxy save file or in Metroid Prime 3 where the logos of first-party games you have played are shown on the ship's bumper. Is there such thing in the game? If there is, please don't tell what happens but just mention the game needed to unlock it. Thanks

Well I couldn't see anything while rushing through the game. Someone who's collected all 120 stars should know it for sure

Hmm... Interesting. I never knew about the Metroid Prime 3 Corruption and the first title release stuff. I'll like to find out as well.

I have 135 stars right now,
I have and SMG, a MKWii and a mario strikers charged football saves
I found nothing special


However these 3 saves are PAL and I am playing the NTSC U version
