Homebrew Moonshell help needed

I'm having some problems with moonshell and I'm a bit confused.

1) I seem to recall there being a window showing the song's info, like artist, song name, etc. I can't find a way to bring it up (if there even is one; if there isn't then my memory's going bad).

2) Every tutorial on moonshell I've read talks about a Skins folder; on my CycloDS version of moonshell I only see a "skin" folder that holds the skin I've chosen. It works differently than the guides say; I have to copy the skin into the folder for it to override the old skin. No subfolders at all. Can someone explain this?
