So I set up this 3ds with Luma 9.1 using the guide at https://3ds.hacks.guide/installing-boot9strap-(ntrboot). It worked great for the few days that I had it. Then I gave it away as a Christmas gift to my kid's piano teacher. He said it worked for a few days, then started getting ARM11 exception errors. He said one of his kids was able to get it to work somehow, but now it won't do anything. I finally got my hands back on it today, and indeed, it won't do anything. Hit power and you see a blue light for about 1 second. The screens do nothing. I have tried removing the SD card, cartridge, battery. I have a clone of his SD card from before I gave it to him. Put the clone SD card in (like an actual brand new micro SD) to no avail. I cannot get it to load GM9 or Luma config. I have also tried booting into recovery mode using L+R+A+UP. I did replace the boot.firm with the latest luma release.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I have spent the afternoon going through forums, but most of the info I was seeing I think was from the pre B9S era.

Man, I got it running by starting from scratch with the magnet. I got everything installed and it acted like it was going to work for a day or two, then started with the Arm11 crashes. It still runs halfway. I tried loading my original Nand Backup and same shit. I tried loading the CTR Transfer Nand and updating, and same shit. So really, no. I didn't get it fixed, but it works-ish. The weird thing is, I have modded 14 systems and 3 of them have had similar problems. Work great for days, weeks, even months, then just take a shit. I've always been able to get them back to life, but never run stably. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong though. It's really quite troubling. I have done everything. Everyone else seems to be recovering except me. All of them I have gotten used though. I wonder if they were tampered with at some point. I just don't know.

I went to auction at a mom/pops video game store few months ago that was closing, and bought 11 slims for $200, 1 was DOA but 10 work fine. so hella deal. Already rgh3'ed 8 of them. But most younger kids don't even want anymore, unless it plays stupid "fortnight", or newer shit.
