I was wondering if it was possible to fix my bricked R4 SDHC RTS Lite 2014? I recall bricking it shortly after this came out and I thought the card just died on me, but now that I've come back looking for answers I noticed that it's in the incompatible list. Is there any way to re-flash the firmware on there, or is it a non-repair issue? Thanks!

I still can't get the forwarders to work after the template update. I experimented with the game paths but no success.
"forwarder-6149 - Pokemon Black Version 2 (DSi Enhanced)(U)(frieNDS)"
I've had this problem. I was using a 32-bit computer so the make_cia won't be supported. It'll just make .nds files. Either that or its just the filename.

  1. Is both TTfwd.dat and YSMenu.nds in the flashcard root?
  2. Is loadcard_dstt.nds in the 3DS SD Card, at "sdmc:/_nds/"?
Yes, I have TTfwd.DAT and YSMenu.nds on the root of my flashcard's SD card. I even made a copy of TTfwd.DAT and renamed it to R4.dat just incase with no success.

loadcard_dstt.nds and ntr_forwarder.ini are in my _nds folder. When I try and start a game it does create a YSMenu.ini in the _nds folder with the game I tried to launch listed as autoboot. I've attached the generated INI file.

I've done some more testing. If I put rename YSMenu.nds to R4.dat, I am able to boot YSMenu and load my roms just fine, so I know there isn't an issue with the flashcard nor the microSD. If I place the generated YSMenu.ini file onto my flashcards microSD then launch my flashcard it will autoboot the game that's set, so I know the YSMenu.ini file is being correctly made.

When I launch from a forwarder, it loads the NDS logo and Health & Safety screen (I set that to enabled to be sure it was reading the ntr-forwarder.ini file) and then those disappear and it hangs on dual white screens. It does this even when I have YSMenu.ini on my flashcards microSD card.

If I rename YSMenu.nds to TTfwd.dat and try using a forwarder, there is no change.

So from what I can tell, it's either failing to load TTfwd.dat or loadcard_dstt.nds is not working right. I can't narrow it down any further because even if I completely remove loadcard_dstt.nds there is no change in behavior. Perhaps there could be a check and message presented if loadcard_dstt.nds fails to be loaded? That would at least pinpoint where the issue is.

Not the forwarder's filename. The rom itself's filename.
To fix the problem, try moving the Forwarder3-DS.jar file to a folder in the hard drive root.

I moved Forwarder3-DS.jar in the applications folder (I'm using osx) but still generating nds files :/
