Quick update.. I'm having some problems with the Unicode release but it should be ready sometime this month. Also a quick switch to a normal listview box with normal scrollbars and NDS/GBA roms split by groups (XP/Vista only)

Progress update:

- Unicode fully supported in filenames and archives (and also inside archives)
- When trimming from rar/7zip: 3-5x faster

Zip is not working yet, and GBA needs checking.

If someone wants to beta test send me a pm.

heh, I came to this thread to question about unicode support. I'm glad to see it's getting worked on. I don't like having to rename my .nds files to use it, and with your crush on Japan

, I'd expect to be able to read japanese files.

Thanks for the the program, and thanks again in advance for the unicode support!

I'm suddenly getting the error "NDSTokyoTrim.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.. bla bla" every time I try to start it up. Any idea what could cause this? It was working fine last month. I'm running WinXP SP3. Tried downloading a new copy, same problem.

Thanks.

UPDATE: Ok, got it working again. Apparently I changed the DEP setting when I was trying to debug an IE8 problem a couple of weeks ago.

also for some reason your trimmer on the newest version (2.18 or whatever it is) seems to corrupt CRC of game roms. when i trimmed Iron Man (USA) with your program and read it in DSFCC it showed up as some Brain Age game but when i trimmed it with EZTrim and read it in DSFCC, it shows up correctly. hope you could fix this bug.

Oh and just to let you know, you should probalby post updates on the first post too so newbs don' think they should not get your trimmer because it hasn't been updated in a year

hey, been some time, but I finally got my hands on updating my little tool ^^

maybe you can test a beta before the final build?

get it here: http://eden.fm/NDSTokyoTrimBeta25.exe

what's new:

- Unicode support (filenames in japanese etc)
- Option to check for and skip trimming if rom is DSi enhanced (people report those dont work if trimmed)
- Option to use normal list window
- Faster when using rar/7zip

problems:

- Zips dont work
- Problems when dragging files to the exe, wont list the files or might even crash

mostly id like you to test it against all your DSi roms and see if it detects them all properly.

Im not much into the DS anymore these days, so if you have any more info about DSi roms or anything related let me know, I will still update my tool
