Hacking Need help importing a cartridge save to the gateway card

Hi i have a Super Mario 3D Land cartridge with a 100% completed save and i wanted to import it to my backup on my gateway card, I already used the gateway menu to backup the cartridge save and I have it on my SD Card but now I dont know how to use it on my Gateway card.

After backing up the save, it will be a file called XXXX.sav on your SD card.
Just rename it to the correct title ID. Use THIS and search the game, look for the "Title ID"
Just know that not every game can be backed up and work with Gateway. So just hope that it works.

Edit: If it doesn't work, I also made a 100% save for this game.
