Well, time to undust my trusty old CycloDS! :D

By the way, is there a chance to also release the soundtrack as a 2SF set?

I just played W2-4 and it is AMAZING! Great work! I love the fact that you are implementing some mechanics that were only used once in the original version (for example: the one of w2-5)

Looks pretty good. I haven't played Mario games since Super Mario Bros 2, gotta say yours is a lot more entertaining than Super Mario Bros 2.

Hey love the game so far, but I'm having one issue with it. I recently bought a rumble pak to play with this, however it doesn't seem to detect it. Other games on my flashcart detect it just fine, and Newer DS detects it in emulator. I have no idea what's going on.

I'm using a DSTwo+ with a DS Lite running Newer DS 1.04

I only had one Rumble Pak to test with, and it was the EZ Flash IV one.
I did use the spec found on gbatek to detect Rumble Paks, but it's possible that's not consistent across all of them :/
As far as I remember, DSTwo requires you to turn on the Rumble Pak in the game settings, so maybe that's the problem?

Yeah, tried turning that option on and still nothing. I probably should mention I'm using an offical pak

As the person who prepared the MP3 and FLAC soundtrack downloads: I'm interested, but I don't know how to do this. Maybe if someone could direct me to a tutorial or something?
You can use VGMToolbox to extract the 2SF set from the patched ROM. There are still some tracks that are missing from the resulting set, like the file select BGM (I still don't know if there's more). I think it uses a different format, since it appears to be pre-recorded music. Can you ask @skawo about this?

I know how all the music works. (For the file-select in particular, it's actually a sequence that plays a single note on an "instrument" that sounds just like the file-select music -- i.e. effectively streamed music, while technically a sequence like every other track. We had to do it that way because NSMB lacks functions for playing STRM files.) The reason some tracks are missing when you try to extract everything is that they're not located in the game's SDAT file. I can put them in there temporarily in order for VGMToolbox to properly extract them, though.

OK, that sounds good. :)

Thanks for investing your time into this project, I have thoroughly enjoyed it and introduced a friend to it and he has loved it too. The attention to detail all around is great. Even enjoy the different mario phrases when putting game into and out of sleep mode. I enjoy every time I go to play it that the title screen is themed to what world I’m in currently. Best of all the cheats from original game work, so I can exit level and save whenever I want. Really awesome job on your spin of the game, thankyou for sharing it for me and the rest of the world to play.

Okay, I know next to nothing about all this. I'm a noob, so excuse me. But is it possible to actually play this on the Nintendo DS console? I got the impression it was possible at first, but then it seemed I could only do it on a computer through a ROM and Emulator. I can't seem to find directions on how to play it on the directly on the DS if it is possible. Excuse me for my noobliness ;)
