The only way Nintendo can combat piracy is if they make a console that forbids external methods to import data, or not use internal flash memory (IE, everything before the Gamecube). We all saw how quickly the PSP was hacked, and I could imagine Sony's face when they heard "Avast, ye swabs! We come to parlay, and offer faster load times and Nintendo emulators, arr!"

In my opinion, if they would do the following, maybe they'll see a decrease in piracy/homebrew:

Lower the price on some of the first-party games with lacking content (Punch-Out, Metroid: Other M)
Advertise the Wii Shop Channel
Add more, requested games on the Wii Shop (Castlevania 64, Donkey Kong 64, Earthbound, etc)
Have better quality control on 3rd party devs (Ninjabread Man, Anubis 2, Redneck Jamboree, etc)

Umm I am going to say what everyone else is thinking but not saying and that you are a fibber and know no one that talked to any Ninty Exec.

P.S. Even if they did insult hackers for piracy BIG WHOOP! I would expect that.

What do you think about it? I probably thing hackers would probably Hack it in a single month.

DSi = out for 2 1/2 years and still nothing.

Forget it.
Probably also cuz of lack of interest? There isn't much to be done with the DSi really...

the 3DS is a bit different though...if it's AP is really as good as PS3,maybe it will take a while~

As seen in the latest updates, Nintendo's mostly worried about ISOs and ROMs. If they would develop a better DRM, they wouldn't HAVE to worry about pirates. They shouldn't also have to guilt-trip the homebrew community and, with the DSi's latest firmware, penalize them. Looking at the homebrew community, they should maybe employ or buy the homebrew games. I mean, look what happened with Cave Story, And Yet It Moves, and World of Goo.

What's "OP"? Same as "threadstarter"?
pretty much. it means "opening post".
Does it ?? - I always thought it meant 'Original Poster' since I've seen people post replies like '@OP: ...'

IMHO '@ Opening Post: blah blah blah' doesn't seem right while '@ Original Poster: blah blah blah' does
