WildPalm software has released a GameBoy emulator for the Nokia 7650. The emulator allows users to play the many hundreds of public domain Nintendo GameBoy games that can be downloaded from the internet. The company is also offering the source code, which is based on the opensource GameBoy emulator program, gnuboy to developers.

The company says that the emulator is Nokia Series 60 based, so it should work on any manufacturer who has licensed the Series 60 software. By integrating with their ZipMan software, the handset will be able to run the games without unzipping them, thus saving space in the handset memory.

The software, branded GoBoy is available for free from WildPalm.
