Nintendo to launch the “Cease and Desist Classic”

The Nintendo Cease and Desist Classic has over 30 of your favorite Nintendo legal actions, each in an unmarked brown envelope. Classic, well-known notices such as the Mother 3 fan translation notice, or the Game Genie notice, or the many fangame notices...
In addition, the Cease and Desist Classic will include a never before seen legal notice to the abandoned Project M Smash Bros Brawl mod.

Luigi creates a romhack and it gets blown up by the regginator
Kirby seeds a torrent and gets mailed a bomb by Nintendo
Samus uses an SX Pro and her Nintendo Switch beats her to death with the Joy Cons (New Motion Control!)
Bowser creates Nintendo fanart and gets banned from DeviantArt
Link makes a YouTube video which features Toad for one frame and has his channel terminated by YouTube bots who don’t know how to moderate content correctly and somebody should really do something about that
Donkey Kong beats Diddy Kong to death with a crowbar (and he hosts a rom site)

No, it is not "fake". Seriously, you should be keeping an eye on what is going on around Nintendo.

If by "gay" you mean "disappointing", I got it.

But the reason why they made this is because when someone downloads a ROM from their CDN or any other third-party source, the company (Nintendo) doesn't get any money. Also, take the following example :

Downloading ROM = Stealing a product in a shop
Why is it illegal ? : You don't pay for the ROM itself, you download some copyrighted work without paying the people who made the game and sell it.

Think about it : People who make games need MONEY in order to be able to fulfill their everyday needs (eating, clothing up, ect.) And if you keep just downloading games without paying (if you are legally supposed to), then you made this person loose some money because, eh... You did not paid for it.

That argument has been demonstrably false for larger AAA companies like Nintendo. The real reason Nintendo is a nazi with its IPs is because they want absolute control over their image and the image of their IPs, so much so that fans are a lesser priority.
