that should not be so, and there should be a way to patch emulated games so that they can use the "advanced settings" of the DSi youre playing them from!!!

just like the original DS is not capable of actually emulating GBA, the DSi cannot "emulate" the original DS. And with WiFi code being game code, that means that DS WiFi can only do what DS WiFi can: WEP and unencrypted.
I suppose so, but the DSi is still a DS inside !!!(lol)
My suggestion was something like an option that applies the encrypted network as a wep network, I know it sounds crazy AND it's most likely not possible.

dsi has some different hardware like a better cpu and more ram but they won't effect ds mode so the wlan card is properly different to
