just like the original DS is not capable of actually emulating GBA, the DSi cannot "emulate" the original DS. And with WiFi code being game code, that means that DS WiFi can only do what DS WiFi can: WEP and unencrypted.

My suggestion was something like an option that applies the encrypted network as a wep network, I know it sounds crazy AND it's most likely not possible.
