Hacking ntrboothax won't boot on n3dsxl

I was loaned an acekard 2i to unbrick my n3dsxl, it was bricked accidently turning off the system during the downgrade for al9h. I tried to boot it up several times with the magnet and nothing will show up. I don't believe this is an MCU brick as the power comes on, but it's just black screens.

Yes, I followed 3ds.guide to the letter

Strange question, but are you sure you have the b9s installer and not the luma boot firm? I ask cause it can be easy to mix up what boot file you have on root.

the safeb9sinstaller.firm? Yeah I renamed it to boot.firm too

Hmm I remember reading somewhere else on here that someone was trying to fix the exact same problem you are having. I will see if I can find that thread and also see if they solved the issue.

Well, I couldn't find the thread in question. The only other thing I can think of is the fork of NTRBoot you are using is looking for ntrboot.firm instead of boot.firm (I know both forks exist) Try that and see what happens. Also, try booting another firm like Decrypt9 or Godmode9 and see if they load.

are you 100% on NTR still being installed on the card? also i would format your new 3ds xl sd card and redownload all the files and reset it up like you were the 1st time just to be sere. some times when you download the files some may not have downloaded right (it has happend to me with files). after that try it and if its not working then call your the guy who let you use it to see if he can unbrick it for you.

Which version of ntrboot_flasher did you use? Early versions had issues with the Acekard.

I'm sure the cart is properly flashed, I did the button magnet method with my hacked o3ds and ntr booted.

Yeah the power works, charges fine and everything too.

I just had a similar experience just a little while ago. The problem seems that the 3ds doesnt read my acekard 2i, but eventually i found that pushing and holding the ds cart while its inside the 3ds eventually reads the cart. So what i did is, I keep on holding/pushing the acekard 2i while the 3ds is off with the magnet on the right place and while pushing the button combos and it works.

The problem seems that the 3ds doesnt read my acekard 2i, but eventually i found that pushing and holding the ds cart while its inside the 3ds eventually reads the cart. So what i did is, I keep on holding/pushing the acekard 2i while the 3ds is off with the magnet on the right place and while pushing the button combos and it works.

i seen in some videos that some systems, not all the cards will not make contact and you have to put it in with a little pice of folded paper or cardboard and it will work i don't think it happens with all of the systems.

Use the paper trick, that other guy is a lifesaver!
