I've been using SX OS since around the middle of July, and pretty consistently every couple of weeks or so since then the system will crash. I always keep my Switch in sleep mode after I'm done playing it, so the only time it ever gets rebooted is after one of these errors. IIRC it has yet to happen in-game, every freeze has occurred either when switching games through the album or when just booting up a game on the main menu. Doesn't seem to be related to any one game. This occurred previously on SX OS version 1.4 and currently on version 1.6, my Switch just crashed again so I'm going to update to 1.9 and see if that fixes the issue.

Has anyone else experienced this or know of a fix? I tried searching and nothing seemingly relevant came up.

Don't use SX OS then? There are other alternative and free CFWs you can try

These crashes are not just specific to SX OS; they happen in other CFWs as well. See this issue from ReiNX: https://github.com/Reisyukaku/ReiNX/issues/44
Plus, experiencing crashes with a hacked console is not exactly "surprising". Think about it: you modified the console to allow it to do stuff that it was not originally intended to do. Is it really that strange for it to experience a couple of bugs every now and then? Also, some of these crashes can occur even if the console is not modified.

tl;dr This is not a CFW specific issue but people are looking into its causes since we do not known why its even being caused in the first place

I've had I think one crash ever in sx os and turning the switch completely off then back on again (using the jig and dongle to get cfw running, of course) and its worked fine ever since. No idea what caused it that one time, hard to pin down a problem that never repeats.

Just throwing this out there, but could it be an sd card problem? Maybe back it up and reformat/replace with a known good/not fake card?

I have SXOS, have been using since July I think.
I have experienced I think 5 crashes so far while using it.

Once when playing 1 2 switch.
3 times when playing Hyrule Warriors, 1 on the main menu screen and 2 on the character select screen.
And once this morning when it was in sleep mode and I put it into the dock and woke it with the joycons it came up with a black screen with an error message.

All times I held the power button till it turn off and booted back up with no issue. Each crash has had atleast a few days between.

Edit. Note I only use XCIs

It's well known that the system sometimes crashes when opening the Album in docked mode. It's an error message right? It happens to all of us. I've never had it happen in handheld mode, and hardly ever use the album anymore anyway since I primarily use NSP.

I have zero crash because I only install like 5 nsp game? Try uninstall all games and only install 1 game. See if the problem goes away.

I've had 2 actual crashes and both resulted from trying to get my license digitally rather than manually. Other than those I've only had games glitch out and force me to reboot but not actual crashes.

I get error code 2345 0021 everyday. lol.
I'm running SX OS 1.9 making a game for Brew.js.
It only happens in docked mode and only happens when a certain number of objects get drawn to the screen.
Somebody said it was a bug in homebrew launcher and mapping memory.
Definitely seems to be some sort of memory issue.

In the meantime I'm just trying to optimize the code to see if that helps

@Xdqwerty there is health behaviour you can add to your character, then to use a health bar is lil more complicated, google n watch a few tutorial video on it, be too hard to explain here.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the character has the health behavior
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I know you have to create a health and health max variable. Then there is a calculation you use in code to subtract width size of the health bar. Google few vids.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the "greenflatbar" is one of the preset health bars btw
