I have bought a Sata to IDE Adapter for my old Xbox (the one before the 360) and cloned my old drive to the new Sata HDD (2TB size). Dtill I get the error 07 that tells me that the hdd is not recognized. The adapter has no jumper to bring it to Cable Select mode. Is there another way to get it working? This is the Adapter

Sorry for the topic. I pressed Enter too soon.

How is the thing modded?

Softmods will probably struggle with most adapters, hence the need for https://xboxdrives.x-pec.com/?p=list , as they are unlikely to do everything that it needs. Hardmods (chip or TSOP, though I see some new chips coming out as well https://gbatemp.net/threads/project-stellar-a-new-og-xbox-modchip-with-insane-expandability.634286/ ) have no such concerns about drive compatibility as they replace the BIOS wholesale rather than needing it to boot for a moment before taking over.

OK. I have a modchip in which I can select different Bios. I believe I have a Xecuter Bios on it. Is there something new for this modchip? SWmartXX is on the label of the modchip.

Can the XBOX boot from DVD even if the hdd is not recognized?
Trying to get Slayers toiwork to get a partiniod drive. I tried it with FatXplorer but maybe this program is not good enough

Yes I have a 80pin cable in the works. After I tried to pull it out of the socket it got broke. So I ordered two new ones. Have to wait until its there.

I used FatXplorer to create to partitions and then copied everything from c,e,f,g and so on on the right partitions in the new 2TB Hdd.

What I found out now is that the XBox wont boot from DVD when the 2TB Hdd is plugged in but when my very old ide hdd is in it boots.

Could it be that I have not a correct bios. In oter words. Is the 2TB HDD too much for my M8plus or Xecuter bios?

I hate ordering stuff online if I can go buy it somewhere close to me, and everywhere anymore will give you a discount only if you order it online, bs. Should be a discount if I go pick it up, not order online.

I love it for most things most stores you just shows the receipt online and they scan it

Mostly for big purchases, I want it in my hands before I pay. Like a tv, I trust picking it up myself, before I'd trust it being sent thru mail/delivery. (Broken screen, etc) But yea if I can order online, then pickup at store is ok, but not all places offer that.

Thing is, if you break it driving back to your house, it's your fault. But if the delivery driver damages it, it's not your fault.

Most people that haul big tvs have empty trucks or know enough not to set it face down
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Then I gotta send it back and wait another week or two. I have a pickup truck, with a extended cab, so no prob for me.
