I was experimenting with a bunch of different payload injectors. I have the one team xecutor first launched, which has the worst battery/capacitors but charges in seconds (which is both good and bad). Huge con is that the dongle doesn't have something that holds the jig. I also have the ns atmosphere injector and rcmloader (newest version). These last 2 are decent but the battery life is a bit lacking. Maybe this is normal because I don't use them on a day to day basis (I inject the payload and just leave my switch on the dock in sleep mode usually). Is there any other payload injector that has a huge battery that is rechargeable? I also have the app on my phone, which I guess is good but I was looking for a stand-alone device.

I don't have a direct answer to the question, but installing a trinket or similar internally would mean never having to concern yourself with a dongle or its battery life again.

Lipo batteries self discharge over 6m-1yr. And leaving them for long periods of time without charging them up damages the battery and affects battery life. These two reasons are probably why you find the battery life to be lacking. When I first got the RCMloader the battery seemed to last forever, and still had some charge in it after being left for a few months, now it always seems to be dead after being left for a few months. Anything you get will have those same drawbacks, it's inherent to the battery chemistry.

I try to charge every 3 weeks my rcmLoader (well 2 actually) even if I don’t use it very often.. I ‘ve lost batteries on some devices, not charging them... (Xbox 360 gamepad), that’s as you said, the “downside” of batteries...not using them or not charging them.

Topping it up constantly is just as bad as letting it drain fully, the battery does not take charge very well when it's nearly full which means more electricity is wasted as heat causing wear, and when it's full, it's in an "unstable" state where all the electrons are moved to one side, which causes additional wear if stored like that for long periods of time.

For me SX dongle is the best solution. If your dongle is discharged and you have phone with USB-C, you can just plug dongle to your phone and in mere seconds you have dongle ready to work. You could try to move it to other shell with space for jig.

DragonInjector looked promising, non rechargeable but the battery was supposed to last for a long time (might never need to replace it), sadly it got a C&D. But there were some units shipped out, maybe they will show up second hand.

Also, in a pinch you can boot into OFW and plug any of your dongles in and it will charge. It only needs like a minute to get enough charge to inject.

Yes, you’re right..but I don’t “top” them..;)..

Or just an usb-c OTG adapter (same one I use for my ssd on the road)
