ps2 is harder then n64 emulation, which is like barely running full speed in some games.

Ps2 is definitely harder than n64 heck its harder than Gamecube! But i have had absolutely no problem getting full speed with all n64 ive tried even with all the RARE games on stock cpu after changing a few settings. I wouldn’t say n64 is barely running, that is a massive understatement, but to get PS2 running well would amaze me. Comparing ps2 to n64 emulation is a night and day comparison. I have serious doubts it will ever happen with play! emulator. I would be amazed if play runs games close to how dolphin emulates most Wii games, and the Wii is one generation in front.

I would love to see the jak n daxter games running well , but the odds of it happening are rather small. 15fps for gran turismo is 25% speed?

Well this will maybe take some dreams but... Kingdom Hearts runs with 60 FPS inside the Game Menu , sometimes i was able to Reach 50 FPS in game!! the game was working like Butter really smooth.

But here is the issue ... Switch OC to 2,0 GHZ and GPU OC to Max.

This is already better than I expected even with 2ghz. Can I ask are u running a compiled lakka core version? Or is this running through Ubuntu.

its using the Lakka Play Core

PS2 will run on the switch thats def sure , the question is how much will it take from the switch on certain games ?

Ya full speed ps2 emulation on the switch would take some serious effort, its doable but I dont know if anyone is motivated enough.

right now you would need to grill your switch to reach some good results

Yeah , games like God of War 2 are a no-go currently (even with max overclocks) and would need many speedhacks to run ok. I can see it working with less CPU/GPU intensive games like KH2 great in the near future though.

Well on the plus side a new Lakka Update just released Play! emulation . Even if it is not PCSX2 a core has arrived .

None of the ps2 games work for me on lakka... instant back out to the main menu...
