HOLY FUCK IT WAS AMAZING!!

One thing to note though, most of the games were all about 3D by depth, although.. Nintendogs+Cats had pop out at you 3D!! And it was simply amazing, probably the best game to include it in!

My eyes were completely fine except for when I played Asphalt for like an hour straight with 3D on full... great game, really fast paced though and probably shouldn't have it on max for prolonged periods of time

Recorded a short 2 min video on my friend's Focus (720p) not uploaded yet but it was just Nintendogs+Cats in 2D for a couple minutes - we REALLY wanted to turn 3D back on so it was pretty short

by the way - holy shit it was thin!! And, Madden was terrible...

If you've got any questions, feel free to ask.

arent all of the the same crappy game ?

Yeah, pretty much haha. But this one looked like they made it in less than a month.. And that's a lot to say for a video game.

@awssk8er - demo pod, and we really had no problems with lines. It was the Chicago one though, don't know which one you're going to. Also, there's 2 rows of 6 3DS', all with different games (Except there were 2 Steel Divers across from each other, along with AR Games.) . Sadly, the only game I wasn't able to play was the AR ones.

It's an EA Sports Handheld game make solely to exploit the recognition the core console titles get, ya know, the ones that actually get the big budget and make the huge sales.

tldl; It's a cash in, lol.

Anyway the 3DS effect is pretty sweet ain't it? I've had a long gaming session with the thing and it didn't hurt my eyes.
I've only got to play with the system itself though, no 3DS gamecards. But the AR games and Face Raiders are remarkably entertaining by themselves, even the music player has a playable Game & Watch title, with 3D effect.

Sure is, you have to move back and forth, side to side and not drop the football.

To tell you the truth this thing will be good circle-pad practice.

I'm going to the NYC one... it will probably be more busy, but hopefully not.

This honestly has been the longest month of my life. We're not even half way there too... And playing a 3DS will just make the time go slower.

Silly question, but why wouldn't it? If you have good sight in both eyes (with or without glasses) you shouldn't have any problem with the 3d effect.

If you have to ask the question at this point, seeing all of the information out there... you probably still won't know because it's up to the individual to decide what is worth what to who. $250 isn't much to someone who just got $5000 in income tax and has a steady job... but someone out of work or barely making ends meet probably won't find it so affordable

A worth of a object vs price and being able to pay it, is two different subjects.

In this instance, no it's not. There are loads and loads of info already available for the 3ds out there, to ask whether it's actually worth $250 at this point is completely up to the perspective of the buyer. This includes how the individual feels about the games, features, as well as their current financial situation.

He said is the 3DS worth the price tag of $250, which it is. It like if I had a lot of money, but still I do not think 600+ it a worthy price for the ipad.
At the same time if I didn't have that much money or won't be able to buy it, 3DS is still worth the price tag it has.

You do not have to or be able to buy a device, for the device to worth it price tag.

Is it worth spending on the device (financial situation) and device worth the price tag (hardware/software) is two different things.

Edit: It almost like saying is $250 price fair for 3DS.

I played the 3DS for the first time for about 30 minutes today, the Pilotwings demo at Best Buy.
It took my eyes about 5-10 minutes to fully adjust to the 3D, and even when I did, I could not ever get max depth to look right/not hurt my eyes at the same time. I lowered the 3D by just a tiny amount (like 1/8th an inch), and it looked fantasic, and it did not strain my eyes at all the rest of the time.

This is coming from a person with 20/30 in my left eye and and 20/40 in my right eye with NO glasses. That means my left eye is below normal seeing capabilities, and my right eye is even worse.

I went to best buy a week ago and tried pilot wings over there. It was blurry, and eye straining until i properly adjusted the 3d. no more problems after that.
