Hacking Please Help! I don´t want to Buy a new PS VR

Hi everyone, today is my birthday!, so My autopresent was buying a used ps vr, witch came with firmware 4.10 and I´m trying to use with a ps4 with 5.05
I´m a total Newbie, so please help, I read In a lot of pages that is posible to run backups and use this VR with this firmware but I only manage to do one or another.

I can run backups going to a webpage and running Hen exploit, works perfect. but VR ask me for and update.

I Can run VR with the demo disc using ps4-hen-vtx (hen 1.8 + vr I´think), sending this payload from my androind phone, ....VR works Ok with the demo disc, but no backups, don´t know why!.

The most close I was is from a web page by sending hen and then enable vr, but I get error...CE-40170-2

I don't know if there is a better method now (mine is still running 3.10), but it appears you can do it if you jump through some hoops.

You should be able to send the exact same payloads.

It seems to be "send a vr enabled payload, turn on psvr, send vr enabler"

i was under the impression that psvr would just work
i have my PSVR sitting here in the box still , and 5.05 and an ESP8288 board flashed
(not used the psvr because i was trying to find a way to extend the camera cable,not possible over so many feet)
so why does it not work now? does it "just work" with a psvr on an older FW? that reddit post implies it has something to do with newer psvr fw doing check
my psvr is band ew skyrim bundle so is this thing going to work or am i going to need that KMZ_505_ESP8266 payload.bin mentioned in the reddit post?
i forget which payload i have , but i it the one that was1st to add external HDD support without apps2usb
i am a noob and i have not even had time to use this thing , (plus the camera cabe is too short for my setup even with a an extension cable so i never set it up)
i am just wondering now if it is a matter of the psvr FW being updated past a certain point or if it is because the pscr fw is too low and you need to update the system fw to update the psvr fw,i haven't been following the scene but i thought that last i read psvr backups just worked , so am i mistaken or did something change recently?

The psvr works regardless of firmware. Just need to run the vr enable payload.

If you have psvr 3.10 then it does just work by turning the psvr on before starting hen. If you do that with 4.10 then it complains, you have to go through additional steps

so do you know which FW the skyrim bundle shipped with?
aslo how do you avoid a psvr update?
will the backup fpkg's have the update stripped out and are there min F requirements for any psvr titles or can i play all titles with my psvr on 3.10?

I just updated to 5.05 via recovery.

Once on 5.05 vr askes to update, perform said update.

Load newest hen (vr should auto enable) and play fpkg like normal

AFAICT the problem the OP has is the PSVR has been updated to a newer version than is compatible with 5.05, so you get a message telling you to update your PS4.

I have PSVR 4.10 and it works fine with HEN+VR 1.8 by Stooged.

HI everyone, I fix my problem by going to recovery mode and the option 5.


then I have PSVR 4.10 and it works fine with HEN+VR 1.8 by Stooged.


The only downside is that I delete my games (first I put option 4. maybe was that), but I will download those again, VR works perfect!

You need to send hen+vr (2 in 1). After that connect VR - it works.

Hi, your help was very usefull, Now I can use mi 4.10 vr + hen 1.8, could you please orientate me on how to use Zer0xff database rebuilder? I allready connect my computer to my ps4 by FTP, but don´t know what to do next, and how to run PS4_db_rebuilder v0.1, I allready install some games and run out of memory. =(

1. start FTP server on the PS4
2. run the python script though terminal/cmdline python3 fix_db.py PS4_IP
3. wait for the script to finish, then logout of the PS4 user without closing the browser
4. log back in and all your games should be there again

You may need python installed.

I have mac, so I have to use terminal, I will find the script and see if I can....thanks a lot
