Gaming Pokemon Alpha Sapphire Infinite pp problem

Ok. so In pokemon alpha sapphire, I have it updated to 1.4.
in battle, the game displays the amount of pp as 99. but when i check the move status screen outside of battle, pp is still drained and it shows the regular amount.

Are you capable of using that ability in battle as much as you want? Sounds like its a inf PP in battle code. which is doing exactly what it should from what you say is going on.

nope. move is still drained the same amount, and can't be used. the 99/99 pp is literally just for show and does nothing. in-battle the move is still drained, and has the normal amount. and can't be used after a certain amount. even when in-battle it still shows 99/99.
checking the status screen shows the actual pp stat, which gets drained like normal.
