I'm still cheating right now. I even traveled and conquered Nunavut and set up gym far north with the inuits ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )
If I do get ban, I couldn't careless because I'll find something else to do instead.
I don't think I asked for you're life story. But K I guess

Exactly. I can understand disabled people using this but 20 year old fat edgelords using this also doesn't surprise me.
right? I'm 23 and super lazy. But I actually go out and walk around to catch my pokemon and challenge gym. Some people just can't be bothered to have fun with out cheating.

Yeah. And don't even get me started on the people who is saying Pokemon GO is bad. It's encouraging people to get outside and socialize. Their was a pokemon GO event at my library (it's a gym) and tons of people came. It was really awesome!

This game is pretty much an introvert's worst nightmare.:ninja:
Despite my extremely high post count, I am actually extremely shy and introverted in real life. I find it extremely hard to talk/approach people. Literally the only thing motivating me to "talk" to people when I work is that 15$ an hour paycheck and a contract.
Yet playing this game, I've actually gone outside and talked with complete strangers and socialised with people. Even if it's small amounts, it more than what I normally do.
This game has actually helped me get out of my house again and enjoy the outside, with other people.

Now, im generally against cheating. But I feel like this could have some legitimate uses for many people.

If you can go out and hang with friends and catch pokemon all day, thats great. I encourage that you do so. But there are nearly 48 million players, certainly some of them have troubles getting around for one reason or another. This could be useful for them.

I'm extremely photosensitive, so I can't go out when its sunny. I love walking around on cloudy days or later at night with my husband. (He works late, so we can't go out together unless its midnight) Theres a gym and a handful of stops right nearby, its great. But in the middle of a bright summer day, I can't really leave my house for safety reasons unless I'm completely covered with thick clothes. (Which is impractical when its already 97° out)

This is also great for people with other physical limitations, people with walkers or wheelchairs, people who live so far out in the country that there are no pokemon spawning, People who can't walk around their neighborhood safely without being jumped or being arrested for "loitering" theres a lot of good this hack can do. and since the game doesn't heavily rely on multiplayer interaction, there very little harm it can do. (Since you still need to put in the in-game effort to achieve high levels and high cp pokemon, coins, items and pokemon spawns are all still server based so theres no real upper-hand gained from this hack aside from phisically possible mobility)

I'm patiently waiting for somebody to make a similar xposed module.

YES! This^^^^

Also, what is a xposed module supposed to do?

An xposed module would be the AndroidOS equivalent to this hack. Xposed is a much easier and safer way to patch os roms and programs on the Android side of things (as opposed to editing the game itself which will absolutely result in a ban)

Xposed itself is an installed framework that works to allow these patches. (Basically, if root is the android version of jailbreaking, xposed would be like cydia)

Well, where I'm at in Japan, there are still no pokemon or pokestops or anything like that, so I'll keep spoofing my gps location. Sure, stops don't give me anything for 20-30 minutes after switching from Boston to Central Park, but it's worth it

And you're damn straight, I'm gonna get all of the region specific ones. I'm currently level 19 with several pokemon with CP over 1000.

There are now at least 3 Xposed modules on the Xposed Repo. I have not tried any of them so I can not vouch for them.
I just saw that. Considering the unending server problems, I'm seriously tempted to fire one of these up. Especially when Niantic is applying "nintendo logic" to the problems by their newest app update only addressing "minor text fixes". Seriously?

as one of my friends put it, "if the ship is sinking, the captain doesn't stop to look at the compass to make sure they're sailing in the right direction."

Niantic can't possibly argue they didn't see the influx of users on their network. Not any of their programmers, not any of their IT guys, and especially not any of their executive staff.

Not surprised. It is obviously the biggest problem with Pokemon Go.

When I play video-games I expect to be able to sit on my ass eating popcorn. Not be forced to wonder around like an idiot with my phone up.

I can only imagine how quickly this will kill phone batteries. External charger sales are going on left and right as a result. But that will just burn up the internal batteries on NRB phone that much faster.

that's true, whenever I play pokemon go, my phone's battery heats up to 50+ degrees Celsius.. I was like fuck this, i'm not going to risk breaking my phone just to a catch virtual monsters lol. And the game takes a huge chunk out of data plan.

I use pokemon go control + mock mock modules. I confirmed they work and haven't gotten ban yet

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
