Oh man, I have been waiting for this.

One question: You mention mega evolution being used AGAINST you in the story. Does this ROMhack allow us to USE Mega evolution during the story?

Greetings,

Have to admit that I'm running into a bit of a problem, when I extract the saltysd data from the download to the root of the SD card the game fails to launch, it just loads to a black screen

Right now I'm using the following
Pokemon Sun ( Downloaded and updated via e-shop )
Luma 6.6
Running 11.3 firmware (upgraded after getting Luma/Alh9 installed)
Edit: I've also enabled the Luma setting mentioned in the installation post

I've tried placing the bin file inside of
sd:/luma/code_sections/(titlekeycodething).bin
sd:/luma/titles/(titlekeycdething)/code.bin <- when I put the file here the game loads but the introductory speech is the default speech and not the one displayed in the presentation video

I extracted all of the files inside of the SaltySD Leveled version to the root of the sd card. and I got a black screen

Did I miss anything? New to the CFW scene for the 3ds so it wouldn't surprise me if I did.

I seem to be coming up with the same issue. Running the lastest possible version of Luma as of the writing of this comment.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned but this is just something I noticed. The jewelry shop in Konikoni city sells dusk balls and not dusk stones.

Not sure if it matters but I'm on expanded version of nova sun.

Go into system settings -> data management -> dlc, and delete it there.

Thanks a lot I just did it :). Sry for my noob question but I'm unsure about this topic. The instruction asks for a "decrypted" .3ds/.cia (I already have 2 cias, 1 for each game, moon and sun). Doesn't that mean the file is already decrypted?
If not, please let me know which option should I use from hourglass9?

As of right now I tried running the setup.bat but im getting the file type is mismatch even though I clearly wrote CIA as the filetype.... The final room I get after the whole process is a few kbs cia which I believe is the result of a failure
Any help will be appreciated

Make sure you're using a fully decrypted ROM.

Make sure you're using a fully decrypted ROM.
I installed Decrypt9 because I didnt find the option to decrypt Cia files in hourglass9. After trying to decrypt SUN and MOON .cia . Decrypt9 said they were decrypted already.

So why am I getting this error?

[ctrtool] Saving content #0001 to Partition.0001.00000001

Im at the second part of my Nuzlocke and i have to say the mod is amazing.

I also like the fact that Hau was a little more challenging in the second encounter, at the festival on MeleMele, just with adding one more Pokémon with Grassy Terrain. At the moment i super weak against eletric type but im confident that for the end game my team would be balance for cover al most evrey type.

Some scripted encounters have levels significantly lower than the level curve they are encountered at. The Alolan Exeggutor at Exeggutor Island, Crabrawlers from Berry Piles and Solgaleo were some that I noticed. Solgaleo is encountered at lv55, at the point of the game when my party was lv100. Not sure if it was intentional, but it does make them nonviable to use unless a significant amount of time is put into grinding them.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
